This is a twelve-week Distance Learning Programme where participants will be learning or refreshing their skills on the Dynamics of Power Contracts Negotiation, Nedumentation and Project Financing.
This course will be enriched with pragmatic tools and case studies to discuss the importance of the various aspects of the negotiation process and showcasing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to it. Participants will leave with the skills to identify red flags in a business situation and enabled to find the optimal solution to it.
The programme will provide a good understanding of the Nigerian electric power supply value chain, from fuel supply (particularly gas) to power generation, transmission (especially where on-grid), distribution and the dynamics of arranging a Bankable Power Project.
The course will also take a practical and pragmatic look at the practical issues surrounding the mechanics of power project financing including using Excell Worksheets.
The Course will be led by Dr Ayodele Oni, Partner Bloomfield Solicitors and Mr Matthew Wood, Head of Africa Practice Group at the International Law Firm Ashurst LLP, UK.
