The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) has announced its first Mediation Skills Accreditation and Certification Course, scheduled to hold in Abuja in February 2026.

The programme, which serves as the Institute’s entry-level training, is open to professionals across all disciplines and vocations. According to the Institute, the course is designed to equip participants with practical mediation and conflict-management skills applicable to both personal and professional settings.

The five-day training will take place from February 2 to February 6, 2026, at the ICMC Mediation House, KM 9 Musa Yar’adua Express Road, Abuja, running daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The course fee is ₦350,000.

ICMC explained that the training will focus on providing participants with concrete, behaviourally specific techniques for managing conflicts, improving relationships, and enhancing productivity in the workplace. It described mediation skills as essential life skills that support relationship-building and effective engagement in everyday interactions.

Participants who successfully complete the programme and are inducted into the Institute will be eligible to use the professional title “AICMC” (Associate Member, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators).
