Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has dismissed speculation that her daughter has reconciled with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, following Regina’s recent visit to his residence.

Rita said the actress was invited to the residence specifically to see her children and maintained that the visit should not be interpreted as evidence that the estranged couple had reunited.
“It is well, my dear. She was invited to see her children; that was what happened. Thanks a lot for your support and concern,” Rita said during an Instagram conversation with actor Uche Maduagwu.
Her clarification followed renewed speculation on social media after a video showing Regina at Nwoko’s residence circulated online over the weekend.
The appearance generated widespread reactions because it came months after the couple’s highly publicised marital crisis and separation, during which both sides made serious allegations against each other.
Nwoko had accused Regina of drug addiction and alleged that she damaged his property, among other claims.
Regina, however, rejected the allegations and accused the senator of attempting to create a false narrative about her and her family. She also alleged that he had subjected her to controlling behaviour and sought to isolate her from people close to her.
The actress further claimed during the dispute that their union had never been legally formalised.
The allegations made by both sides remain claims arising from their marital dispute.
Speculation about a reconciliation intensified after Regina was seen at the senator’s residence, with some social media users suggesting that the couple had secretly settled their differences.
Others went further to speculate that the actress was pregnant, a claim members of her family have also rejected.
The controversy drew reactions from some celebrities and supporters who had publicly defended Regina during the couple’s earlier dispute.
Actor Stanley “Stanley Ontop” Ajemba, who had spoken strongly in Regina’s support during the marital crisis, criticised her after the visit became public.
Ajemba said he had invested considerable effort in defending the actress and claimed his involvement in the controversy nearly resulted in his imprisonment.
He also expressed frustration that Regina had not informed him about the visit and said he would no longer involve himself in future marital disputes concerning the estranged couple.
Amid the reactions, Regina’s mother insisted that the visit had nothing to do with reconciliation and was solely connected to the actress seeing her children.
Her position was consistent with an earlier statement by Regina’s sister, Destiny Daniels, who also said the actress had only been permitted to visit her children and remained single.
Destiny similarly dismissed claims that Regina was pregnant, saying changes in her appearance were the result of weight gain.
Regina and Nwoko held a traditional marriage ceremony in Aniocha Local Government Area of Delta State on May 26, 2019.
They have two sons together Munir, born in 2020, and Khalifa, born in 2022.
For now, Regina’s family maintains that her visit to Nwoko’s residence was strictly for access to her children and does not represent a reconciliation between the estranged couple.
