Former General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Jonathan Gunu Taidi has sent out best wishes to the entire Muslim community of the Nigerian Bar as the Holy Month of Ramadan Commences.
In his message made available to TheNigeriaLawyer, Taidi noted that the month is a time of prayers, fasting and spiritual reflection.
He further noted that Ramadan promotes the values of charity, empathy and the brotherhood of mankind.
The statement reads;
“Greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the Start of Ramadan
I would like to send the entire Muslim Community of the Nigerian Bar my very best wishes during this time of prayers, fasting and spiritual reflection.
Ramadan promotes the values of charity, empathy, and the brotherhood of mankind and shows how the practice of these values enrich us and please our maker.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Muslim Lawyers here for the enormous contribution they make to the advancement and development of the legal profession in Nigeria. I believe that the diversity of our society is one of our greatest assets and should be celebrated.
I wish you all peace and happiness during this holy month.
Ramadan Kareem.”
