The former Deputy Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, Professor Ernest Ojukwu, SAN has reacted to the gift of cars to the Judiciary of Cross River State by the Governor of the state, Ben Ayade.

Presenting the presenting the vehicles on Wednesday, the governor also promised to make improvements on the welfare of the judges.

According to a statement by the Cross River government, he described the gesture as a way of appreciating the judges for “standing with the truth”.

Prof. Ojukwu, in his tweet on Thursday likened the situation to a master and Slave

“INDEPENDENT JUDICIARY- CROSS RIVER STYLE- Gov Ayade gifts cars to the Judiciary as a show of ‘appreciation to the judiciary’ & from the CJ IKpeme to Gov Ayade, ‘I appreciate this gesture’ as ‘you have thought and deemed it fit to give them these cars.’ Master and Slave.” Ojukwu twitted.

The presentation of the vehicles comes days after a federal high court in Abuja dismissed a suit filed against the governor by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seeking his removal over his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
