Prof. Damilola, Olagunju, Osigwe, Alabi, 68 Others Make List Of Successful Candidates For 2020, SAN Rank [Official FULL LIST]

The Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC) has released the names of the successful candidates for the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

This list which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer, has 62 applicants for advocates and 10 from the academics.

Acting Chief Registrar of Supreme Court/Secretary, Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee, Hajo Sarki, had stated that “All qualified candidates shortlisted are graded under the category system of the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee Guidelines, 2018”.

Sarki had stated that the General Public was at liberty to comment on the integrity, reputation, and competence of the candidates, adding that “Any complaint (s) presented to the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee must be accompanied with a verifying affidavit deposed to before a Court of Record in Nigeria”.

However, after screening by the Committee a total of 137 lawyers were shortlisted for the rank in 2020 — with 116 advocate applicants and 21 academic applicants. Of the 137 candidates shortlisted, 72 were successful, while 60 did not make the cut.
