Police detectives in Ondo State have begun searching for a man, Kehinde Olanipekun, for inflicting severe injuries on his wife, Damilola, after she accused him of making sexual advances towards his 14-year-old stepdaughter.

According to sources, Kehinde viciously macheted his wife at their residence in Owo, Ondo State, for daring to question him about the illicit affair with the underage girl who is Damilola’s daughter.
The badly injured victim is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Owo following the brutal attack by her now fugitive husband.
Reports indicate that after enduring months of sexual harassment, the minor stepdaughter finally informed her mother Damilola about the ongoing abuse by Kehinde who had refused to stop his inappropriate behavior despite her age.
When confronted by his wife, Kehinde neither denied the allegation nor showed remorse but rather apologized. However, a few days later, he violently attacked Damilola with a machete after sending their two kids out on an errand and locking all doors.
Neighbors’ efforts to intervene were unsuccessful as Kehinde had locked all access to prevent any rescue. He fled after Damilola pretended to have died from her grievous injuries.
The police public relations officer, Funmi Odunlami confirmed the shocking assault and said the command has commenced a manhunt for the suspect now on the run after committing the atrocious act.
The case has highlighted the plight of young girls facing sexual exploitation even by close relatives. Analysts say authorities must pursue justice and ensure the minor victim receives support to recover from the trauma.
