The visit was part of the itinerary of the PALU President who is in Berlin to represent the Lawyers of Africa at the 4th International Lawyers Forum holding in Berlin.
Chief Obegolu used the opportunity of the visit to brief Dr. Wessels on the programs of the Pan African Lawyers Union and prospective areas of collaboration and mutual assistance between PALU and the German Federal Bar.
He also invited the President and members of the German Federal Bar to the annual conference of PALU which will hold in Togo from the 17th to 20th of July 2019.
In responding, Dr. Wessels thanked Chief Obegolu for the visit while acknowledging that this is the first visit of a continental Bar President from Africa to Berlin. He assured PALU that the German Federal Bar is looking forward to mutually beneficial relationship with PALU.
Thereafter, Chief Obegolu and the delegation from Africa were hosted to welcome reception by the organizers of the International Lawyers Forum.
Over 31 countries are participating in the 4th International Lawyers Forum of the German Federal Bar.
