In Nigeria, it is an offence to allow the engine of a vehicle to run while petrol is being delivered into the fuel tank.

It is believed that when the car engine is running, there are many moving parts that can cause a spark and ignite the fuel vapors hence increasing possibility of an explosion or fire.

PENALTY
Fine of N50,000:00 or to a term of 2 years imprisonment or to both.
