PENALTY FOR AN EMPLOYER WHO FAILS TO PROVIDE WORK FOR A WORKER.
In Nigeria, every employer is under obligation to provide work suitable to the workers capacity everyday except rest days and public holidays
if the employer fails to provide work, he shall pay wages to the worker for each day on which he has failed at the same rate as would be payable if the worker had performed a day’s work.
This provision does not apply to a worker who is the father, mother, husband, wife, son or daughter of the employer.
And shall also not apply to persons exercising administrative, executive, technical or professional functions
