Senior Advocate of Nigeria Mazi Afam Osigwe has expressed grief over the passing of Hon. Justice Steven S. Chaha of the Customary Court of Appeal in Makurdi, describing it as a profound loss for the judiciary and legal community.

In a tribute statement, Osigwe eulogized the late Justice Chaha’s unwavering commitment to justice, rule of law and fair judgments. He said Chaha’s wisdom, integrity and sense of duty were inspiring to all who knew him.

Osigwe praised Chaha’s brilliant legal mind and invaluable contributions to jurisprudence that will shape the field for generations. He recalled Chaha showcasing exceptional acumen and understanding of the law’s complexities.

While conveying heartfelt condolences to Chaha’s family, colleagues and the NBA Makurdi Branch, Osigwe said he will be greatly missed. He added that Chaha’s passing leaves a void in the legal profession.
