*Warns Universities, Parents As Baze, Lead City, Police Academy Under Moratorium

The Council of Legal Education has released an updated list of 122 universities approved to admit students into the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme in Nigeria as of August 2026, warning that institutions running Law programmes without its approval are acting contrary to regulations governing legal education.

The Council said it would continue updating the list whenever necessary in line with its statutory mandate to regulate legal education in Nigeria.

The notice was signed by Aderonke O. Osho, Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, on August 14, 2026.
