The Nigerian Law School 14 February 2012 Call Set has expressed appreciation to senior lawyers, members of the Nigerian Bar Association and members of the set whose financial contributions helped fund its maiden reunion held in Port Harcourt on August 26, 2026.

In what it described as its “Hall of Appreciation,” the Reunion Planning Committee said a total of ₦6,615,042 was realised from donors towards the historic gathering.
The committee, chaired by Tosan Barbara Onwubiko, said the support received from members and friends of the set played a significant role in making the inaugural reunion a reality.
“Your financial support played a vital role in making this historic gathering a reality. Because of you, we hosted a memorable event that truly celebrated our set,” the committee said.
“We celebrate you, and we say a big THANK YOU for believing in us and for investing in our shared memories. May your generosity be reciprocated in greater measure.”
Leading the list of Platinum donors was Mr Malemi Larry Cornelius, who contributed ₦2 million, followed by Mr Benedict Bamidele Daudu, who donated ₦1 million.
Mr Udoka Oguekwe donated ₦500,042, while Chief Okutepa Jibrin Samuel, SAN, contributed ₦500,000.
Under the Gold donor category, Onyemaechi Emeka Ozoani, SAN, donated ₦400,000; Jonathan Gunu Taidi, SAN, ₦315,000; while Paul Babatunde Daudu, SAN; Mr Ambrose Chinweike Obeta; Oluseun Abimbola, SAN; Andrew Osemedua Odum, SAN; and Abdul Mohammed, SAN, each contributed ₦200,000.
Ikwuazom Chukwuka, SAN, and Hon. Chijioke Clement Ozumba each donated ₦150,000.
The Silver donors were Onyekachi Monday Ubani, SAN; Mr John Obaika Aikpokpo-Martins; Mr Ejike Onyima; and Kunle Edun, SAN, who each contributed ₦100,000.
His Worship Nonyelum Chinekwu Anyaegbunam, Mrs Uchenna Ede, Mr Oluwole Obafemi and Ms Mojirayo Ogunlana each contributed ₦50,000.
The committee subsequently published a detailed financial report dated August 31, 2026, showing how the funds were applied.
According to the report, the original estimated budget for a reunion of between 150 and 200 members was ₦12,315,000, while the total amount actually realised was ₦6,615,042. Following a deduction of ₦246,500 described as 10 per cent deductions from external sponsorships, the amount available for expenditure stood at ₦6,368,542.
The financial statement shows that ₦1.1 million was spent on bole and fish, covering mackerel and croaker fish, plantain, sauces, ingredients, disposable plates, palm oil, charcoal, transportation and workmanship.
Another ₦782,000 was budgeted for ram suya and workmanship, comprising ₦700,000 for two rams and ₦82,000 for preparation and service.
The committee spent ₦877,200 on alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and water. The purchases listed in the report included Heineken, stout, Legend, Smirnoff Double Black, Desperados, Star Radler, malt drinks, water, Coca-Cola products, Jameson Irish whiskey, Smirnoff Vodka, 4th Street wine, Carlo Rossi and Baileys.
A further ₦550,000 went to cocktails, mocktails, smoothies and milkshakes, with the committee recording that payment had been fully made for what it described as excellent service.
Souvenirs accounted for ₦915,000 and included customised neck fans, headsets, rechargeable vacuum cleaners, tool boxes, paper bags, wall clocks and UV printing.
Photography and videography were allocated ₦220,000, of which ₦120,000 had been paid, leaving a ₦100,000 balance pending delivery of photographs and video coverage.
The venue at Randolph Hotel and Suites Poolside cost ₦400,000, which was fully paid.
The report also recorded ₦40,000 as part payment to the DJ, with a ₦30,000 balance left unpaid following what the committee described as “poor service delivery.”
Venue decorations and photo-booth frames cost ₦73,000, comprising ₦11,000 for accessories, ₦40,000 for banners and ₦22,000 for photo-booth frames.
Customised black face caps for 19 committee members cost ₦36,000, while a one-day storage room reservation at Randolph Hotel and Suites cost ₦35,000.
Logistics amounted to ₦78,000, comprising ₦40,000 to Joseph Asawabelem and ₦38,000 to Don Wariboko.
Miscellaneous expenditure stood at ₦121,800, covering the fixing of banners, rental of tables, chairs and coolers, foil papers and bags, collection of forgotten items, chilling drums and ice, disposable cups, plates and serviettes, feeding for six persons and publicity.
The financial report placed the total reunion expenditure at ₦5,228,000, leaving a surplus of ₦1,140,542 from the ₦6,368,542 available after deductions.
The report was signed by Tosan Barbara Onwubiko, Chairman of the Nigerian Law School 14 February 2012 Call Set, and Nonyelum Anyaegbunam, Secretary of the Reunion Planning Committee.
Onwubiko said the publication of the financial report was intended to account for the funds received and demonstrate how every contribution was deployed towards the reunion.
“Thank you for investing in our memories. We are immensely grateful,” she said, while again appreciating the donors whose contributions enabled the set to hold its first reunion.
