OBRA Legal LP Summer Interns have paid a courtesy visit to former Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Sullivan Chime, describing the meeting as inspiring, enlightening and thought-provoking.

Chime, who served as governor of Enugu State from 2007 to 2015, interacted with the interns on issues of public service, leadership and governance.

In a post shared after the visit, one of the interns said the engagement provided an opportunity to learn directly from the former governor’s experience in law, leadership and public administration.

According to the post, the highlight of the visit was Chime’s discussion on one of the initiatives introduced during his administration, known as Visit Every Community, VEC.

The intern said the initiative demonstrated the importance of direct engagement between leaders and citizens in identifying the real needs of communities and designing policies to address them.

The post noted that meaningful governance must be rooted in genuine commitment to serving the people.

The interns expressed appreciation to Mrs. A. J. Offiah, SAN, Mr. Ikechukwu Onuoma, SAN, and OBRA Legal LP for facilitating what they described as a memorable opportunity to learn from Chime.

The post further described the former governor as a distinguished figure in law, leadership and public service whose career has inspired many young people to pursue greater heights.

The visit formed part of the interns’ career development and leadership exposure activities, aimed at deepening their understanding of law, politics, governance and public service in Nigeria.
