The family  Tawo Eja Tawo, SAN has announced the date for the burial of their father, Chief (Minen) Eja Tawo Abang.

Late Minen Eja Tawo Abang, passed on at age 83. TheNigerialawyer (TNL), gathered that he died on the 15th of October, 2021 at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH).

According to the former ECNBA Chairman, Tawo Tawo, SAN, Minen Tawo Abang was a consummate  civil servant who retired from the service of the Cross River State Ministry of Agriculture in 1997 after 37 years of meritorious service.

“Minen Eja  Tawo Abang, was an astute community leader, a mediator, exemplary and selfless, an epitome of loyalty to family and friends as well  as humanity personified. 

“He was a man of few words, principled and full of wisdom. In the words to his friends “he was an extraordinary and truly wonderful human being, who hated not loving and cherished not hating”.

He is survived by wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, elder sister, cousins, nephews, niece , Akparabong community and host of others.

The burial arrangement is scheduled as:

Thursday, February, 17th

Opening of the mourning house at the family compound Ogbagante, Akparabong, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River,  time is 9:00am

Friday, 18th

Service of songs at the compound at 4pm to 6pm

Saturday, 19th

Funeral Service at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Akparabong  Parish, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River,  at 9:00am

Sunday, 20th

Thanksgiving Service at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Akparabong  Parish, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River,  at 9:00am.
