The announced results of the 1st Edition of Bayo Akinlade Essay Competition witnessed the participation of 145 students from 30 Universities in Nigeria.

It would be recalled that the competition was organized by the Legal Torch Initiative under the leadership of its President, Mr. Oluwatosin Olaniran.

Meanwhile, the theme of the competition was:

“Corruption within the Nigerian Judiciary: Causes & Solution”

However, in the results made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL), out of the 145 entries that were received for the competition, 15 entrants made the top list. Thus, only three entrants were declared winners as follows:

Winner: Ucheakonam Chijoke -86 points from Obafemi Awolowo University

First Runner Up: Gideon Zakka – 85 points from University of Jos and

Second runner up: Alade Khadijah – 83 points from University of Ibadan.

Meanwhile, the other entrants who equally made the top list are:

Finally, the Judges for the competition are: Balogun Sofiyullahi, Maruf Muhammed, Omodayo Esther, Yusuf Aderayo, Odeku Olusola, and Adesanya Abiodun.
