The National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Akure Division, has said that it will not accept an application for adjournment that is not received three days before the date of hearing.

This is contained in a Notice made available to TheNigeriaLawyer signed by the Divisional Registrar, Salim O. Ibrahim.

“This is to inform all Counsels who are appearing or have cases in National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Akure Division that henceforth, the court would no longer accept any application for adjournment not received before three(3) days to the date of hearing.”

The Registrar said the directive is pursuant to Order 38 Rules 7 of the National Industrial Court Rules, 2007.
