*Says No Need To Send Children To Study Law Anymore
*Says Nigeria Has Become Lawless
*Says There’s No Regard For Lawyers Any No Longer

A comedian, Kenneth Ogwuche, popularly known as ‘sarkin dariya or MC3310, has expressed contempt and disappointment against the viral video showing the Service manhandling a lawyer who accompanied his client to resolve an issue with the service over his car which was impounded.

A video of customs official manhandling a lawyer after their boss allegedly ordered that the said man should be detained for asking him a question, has gone viral after being shared online.

The incident happened after the lawyer visited the Apapa office of the agency over the “unlawful” seizure of his client’s car. The senior customs official is said to have allegedly ordered that he be detained after he (lawyer) pointed out the illegality of the seizure

The senior customs official who was present as his men manhandled the lawyer, did not counter the lawyer’s claim of being maltreated for asking a question.

In reaction, the comedian took to his social media to condemn the act of the Customs Officers. According to him, Nigeria has become so lawless that there’s no regard for some things including lawyers.

“There’s no need telling your children to read law in this country because no respect again for law in Nigeria. Look at how Custom Officers manhandled a lawyer. Somebody who went to university and studied for five years to represent a client…Nigeria has become so lawless that there’s no regard for some things. Gone were the days when somebody will say this one na lawyer and you go be happy. Now if you see lawyer there’s no regard.” the comedian said
