The Department of State Services says the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Abuja did not hold any award ceremony on Saturday nor would it do so anytime soon.

Public Relations Officer, DSS, National Headquarters, Abuja, Dr. Peter Afunanya, called on the public and stakeholders to disregard any invitation extended to them for the purposes of such event.

“The Institute is presently occupied with its Executive Intelligence Management Course 14 (EIMC-14) themed: Governance, Security and Sustainable Development in Africa: Nexus, Challenges and Prospects.

“The members of the public should be wary of false invitations and efforts by some desperate persons and groups to deceive them.

“NISS will always and appropriately advertise its programmes and events on its website nissngeria.gov.ng and other mainstream media platforms and channels,” he said.
