The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has released a comprehensive list of services rendered and their corresponding revised timelines, aimed at enhancing the commission’s performance and service delivery to its customers.

According to the document, the availability of name reservation will now take 4 working hours, while name substitution and consent for restricted names, limited by guarantee, and incorporated trustees will take 6 and 48 working hours, respectively.
New registrations for companies, business names, incorporated trustees, limited by guarantee, limited liability partnerships, and limited partnerships will be processed within 24, 24, 24, 48, 12, and 12 working hours, respectively, upon receipt of all relevant documents or compliance with any raised queries.
Post-registration services for companies, such as change of name, increase/reduction of shares, mortgages/debenture/charges, conversion, certified true copy (CTC) of certificates, deed of release, alteration of memo and articles, CAC forms (5, 6, 7, 8), change of person with significant control (PSC), fourteenth schedule, edit director, edit shareholder, annual returns, and miscellaneous, will all be processed within 12 to 24 working hours.
Similarly, post-registration services for business names and incorporated trustees will be processed within 48 working hours upon receipt of the application or physical submission by courier companies or compliance with any issued queries.
Applications originating from state offices will be processed within 7 working days, while customer complaints will be resolved within 48 working hours for simple complaints and 72 working hours for complex complaints.
Other services, such as status reports, compliance with the late business commencement date, accreditation of registered agents, search reports, and letters of good standing, will be processed within a range of instant to 5 working days.
The CAC has advised all customers to ensure that their applications strictly adhere to the checklist/guidelines published by the commission and that the correct fees are paid to expedite processing.
These revised service timelines aim to enhance the CAC’s operational efficiency and provide a seamless experience for businesses and individuals engaging with the commission’s services.
