On the 18th of January, 2020, the Nigerian Prize for Leadership (NPL) paid a courtesy visit to the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC)

The delegation was led by Dr. Ike Neliaku, FICMC, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Prize for Leadership.

On behalf of the Board and Members of the Nigerian Prize for Leadership, Dr. Neliaku expressed his gratitude to the Institute for her contribution to NPL’s Ambassadors Leadership Programme which held from the 15th of November, 2020 till the 11th of December, 2020.

The modules on “Navigating Cultural Issues in Nigeria: Skills required of a Leader” and “Leading through Conflicts” which were proposed, developed and facilitated by ICMC added a great deal of value to the program. The Executive Secretary also briefed the Institute on the upcoming programs of the Nigerian Prize for Leadership.

The President of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators; Dr. Agada John Elachi, FICMC, FCIArb (UK) expressed his appreciation to NPL for their visit to the ICMC Secretariat.

Also present at the meeting were Segun Ogunyannwo; Past Registrar of the Institute and Life Member of the Governing Council, Aisha Ado Abdullahi; Registrar, Babatunde Oyefeso; Deputy Registrar, and Rosemary Chikwendu; Chair, ICMC Abuja Branch.

Dr. Elachi informed the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Prize for Leadership that the Institute is proud to have played a pioneer role in the integration of the Leadership program.

He stated further that ICMC is fully committed to developing the capacity of Nigerians in dispute resolution, and would be happy to support the programs of NPL, and any other organization seeking to invest in dispute resolution skills, systems and programs.
