The Kanu Agabi(SAN) Screening Committee which was appointed by President of the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA) Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud (SAN) to scrutinise the Expressions of Interest submitted by legal practitioners for consideration as nominees to the Federal High Court Bench, concluded its work today, May 8, 2017. Out of the 297 Expressions of Interests received by the Office of President, Nigerian Bar Association, (OPNBA), 36 applicants were shortlisted for the Federal High Court jobs. Ikwueto,(SAN), Mrs. Bisi Soyebo (SAN) and Aisha Ado Abdullahi, National Treasurer of the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA). It would be recalled that the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Honourable Justice I. N. Auta, OFR, FCII Arb,FDRI had made a formal request for nomination of suitably qualified candidates from the NBA for consideration as Judges.
