Candidate for the office of General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Okey Leo Ohagba, has pledged to establish a state-of-the-art call centre for the NBA Secretariat if elected.

Ohagba, popularly known as Okey-Is-Ok, said the proposed call centre is necessary to build a truly member-centred Secretariat that responds promptly to the needs, enquiries and complaints of lawyers across the country.

In his campaign message titled “NBA Call Centre: A Necessity For A Truly Member-Centric Secretariat,” Ohagba said the NBA Secretariat must embrace innovation in order to improve institutional communication and service delivery to members.

He stated that his administration would deploy and maintain a modern call centre that would help lawyers receive real-time responses to issues affecting their interaction with the Association.

“We pledge to deploy and maintain a state-of-the-art Call Center for the NBA Secretariat to streamline institutional communication and provide members with real-time resolutions to enquiries and complaints,” he said.

Ohagba said the proposal forms part of his broader vision for an innovative Secretariat that uses technology to improve access, efficiency and responsiveness within the NBA.

According to him, members should not struggle to get basic information, lodge complaints or receive feedback from the national Secretariat.

He urged lawyers to support his candidacy in the forthcoming NBA election, saying the future of the Bar requires innovation, better communication and a Secretariat that places members at the centre of its operations.

Ohagba is contesting for the office of NBA General Secretary under the campaign theme “Think Innovation.”
