The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has released explanatory memorandum on the proposed amendment of the NBA Constitution.

NBA, in a statement made available to TheNigeriaLawyer signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Rapulu Nduka, urged members of the Association to go through ahead of the Annual General Meeting coming up on October 28, 2021 in Port Harcourt

The amendment details amongst other things, the methodology, underlying philosophy and highlights of the proposed amendments.

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM TO THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS OF THE NBA CONSTITUTION

Dear Colleagues,

As you may be aware, there will be a session during the NBA Annual General Meeting on the 28th day of October 2021 at Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia, Port Harcourt, to consider amendments to the extant constitution of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Kindly find attached, a copy of the Explanatory Memorandum to the Proposed Amendment to the NBA Constitution, detailing amongst other things, the methodology, underlying philosophy and highlights of the proposed amendments.

We urge members to go through this explanatory memorandum and the proposed amendments to the NBA Constitution.

We also look forward to your participation at the hearing of the proposed amendments at the Annual General Meeting.
