The NBA President-Elect, Olumide Akpata, has expressed sadness over the passing of Hon. Justice Jude Okeke, a judge of the High Court of the FCT, who passed away last week at the age of 64. In a condolence message issued by the President-Elect, he commiserated with the judiciary and the High Court of the FCT in particular.

He said “It was indeed saddening to hear of the death of Hon. Justice Jude Okeke who passed away at the age of 64. All and sundry who speak of the late Justice have only good things to say about him.

I commiserate deeply with the judiciary and particularly the FCT High Court on this significant loss.”

He went on to offer condolences to the family and well wishers of the deceased.

“As much as death is a certain end for every one, it does not obviate the sting of pain that it leaves on the family and loved ones the deceased leaves behind.

I offer my sincere condolences to the family, friends and well wishers of the deceased and pray that God Almighty will give them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Akpata prayed for the soul of the deceased to find rest “I pray that God Almighty grants the deceased eternal rest in His bosom”.
