NBA Nnewi Branch Writes ECNBA Over Non-Verification Of Members, Says Over 85% Yet To Be Verified

Nnewi Branch of NBA has decried over the non-verification of not less than 85 % of its members in the verification exercise going on for the 2018 NBA general elections. This was contained in a petition to the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, signed by the branch Chairman, P. C. Ugwuanyi and the secretary Odiegwu Egbuna made available to TheNigerialawyer (TNL). As contained in the letter, the verification portal indicates that the information of the Nnewi Branch members could not be found, contrary to what happened when the verification was done by CHAMS. SIR, RE: NON VERIFICATION OF MEMBERS OF NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION NNEWI BRANCH We write to complain about non verification of over 85 % of members of Nnewi Branch in the verification exercise going on. We have made all possible efforts to get our names verified, but all to no avail. The system has kept on indicating that our information could not be found or that our information could not match the enrollment numbers. There is nothing humanly possible including calling the call center/help line (09087417079) that we have not done yet we could not be verified. It is disheartening that over 85 % of all our members of Nnewi Branch including my humble self (Chairman), our Secretary, Welfare Secretary and other members may not participate in the election due to non verification of our names. Incidentally, during the previous verification exercise which was cancelled, our members verified their names without much difficulties. We write to pray that you use your good office to correct the anomalies to enable us verify our names and vote for candidates of our choices. Thanks P. C.
