Members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch, have shown strong support for the presidential ambition of their former Chairman, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN.

The support was demonstrated during a health walk organised by the branch, which supporters described as more than a fitness exercise but a remarkable show of solidarity for Akangbe, popularly known as LOA.

Participants said the turnout, warm reception and camaraderie at the event reflected the confidence of NBA Lagos in Akangbe’s leadership, service and commitment to the Bar.

As his home branch, NBA Lagos was said to have once again demonstrated its support for a candidate whose accessibility, experience and dedication to the legal profession have continued to earn him respect among lawyers.

Supporters noted that the LOA movement continues to gain momentum ahead of the NBA election scheduled for July 20.

They called on lawyers to support Akangbe, saying the Association needs a President with the experience, vision and capacity to move the Nigerian Bar Association forward.

“On July 20, let us elect a President with the experience, vision, and capacity to move the Nigerian Bar Association forward,” the campaign message stated.

Akangbe, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Chairman of NBA Lagos Branch, is contesting for the office of President of the Nigerian Bar Association.
