The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch is mourning the sudden passing of one of its active members, Mr. Victor Ikenna Onwusika.

According to reports, Mr. Onwusika slumped and died in the early hours of Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the age of 50.

The news of his untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the legal community in Lagos, as Mr. Onwusika was known for his dedication and commitment to the profession. The NBA Lagos Branch has released an obituary notice, signed by its Welfare Secretary, confirming the tragic event and expressing their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Prior to his death, Mr. Onwusika was an active financial member of the NBA Lagos Branch, also known as the Premier Bar. He also served as a member of the branch’s Constitutional Review Committee, contributing his expertise and knowledge to the betterment of the association.

The obituary notice reads, “With heavy hearts we announce the sudden death of Mr. Victor Ikenna Onwusika. It was reported that he passed onto Glory earlier today. Until his sudden demise, he was an active financial member of NBA Lagos Branch (Premier Bar) and a member of NBA Lagos Constitution Review Committee.”

The NBA Lagos Branch has called upon its members and the wider legal community to remember Mr. Onwusika’s family in their prayers during this difficult time. The branch has also stated that funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
