Following the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Gwagwalada Branch election held at the Gwagwalada High Court today, 12th day of June, 2020, A former NBA National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Isah Abubakar Aliyu has emerged as the Chairman of  NBA Gwagwalada Branch.

This was disclosed in an election result announced by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Dr. Chinenye Joy Mgbeokwere, on Friday.

Aliyu emerged unopposed while the position of the Branch Secretary was won by Akachukwu Anthony Nwoye where he polled 44 votes to defeat Nkechi Claries Nwachukwu who scored 38 Votes. 

Meanwhile, the other positions like the Vice Chairman, Publicity Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Legal Adviser, Welfare Officer and Treasurer, were returned unopposed.

Furthermore, the new Executive Committee of the Branch are:

Isah Abubakar Aliyu- Chairman

Akachukwu Anthony Nwoye- Secretary

David Aigbefoh- Vice Chairman

Mathew Alemeru Adekunle – Publicity Secretary

Mark Joseph Sekpe – Welfare Officer

Hamdalat Mustapha – Assistant Secretary

Noah Atabo- Legal Adviser

Barbara Onwubiko –   Treasurer
