OLASUPO OJO VS The Registered Trustees of NBA . The statement from the General Secretary of the NBA reads “My dear Olasupo Ojo, Ordinarily i would not have reacted to the above but i am constrained to react in order to put the record straight for the benefit of our members. I must state with respect that your conduct of making extra judicial statement on a matter that is still pending in court is contrary to Rule of Professional Conduct which you profess to be defending. For the benefit of our colleagues, there are two applications pending before Hon. Justice Tsoho namely: 1. A motion to set aside the judgment on the ground of nullity which has been adjourned to 12th May for hearing. I received your reaction to this application yesterday with a motion for extension of time to file your counter affidavit and written address to oppose the said application. 2. A motion for Injunction pending appeal which was filed since 31st March 2017. As at this morning, i am not aware this motion has been fixed for hearing. 3. You are aware that a notice of appeal has been filed. Infact we were invited to settle the record of appeal by the registrar of the court yesterday after several visits to the registry. “My advise to you is to please tread softly in the interest of the profession and the rule of law you profess to be defending.”]]>
