The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Garki branch is all set to host its highly anticipated Law Week, a dynamic event aimed at elevating the legal profession while promoting health and well-being.
The week-long program will feature a wide array of activities, including insightful plenary sessions, a grand opening ceremony, and a range of thought-provoking topics.
Program Highlights:
- Juma’at Service (September 15th): The Law Week kicks off with a Juma’at service, fostering unity and spiritual reflection among members.
- Thanksgiving Service (September 16th): A Thanksgiving service will be held to express gratitude and appreciation, followed by the grand opening ceremony.
- Opening Ceremony (September 16th): The official commencement of the Law Week, featuring distinguished speakers and a celebration of legal excellence.
- Launching of the Maiden Edition of Liberty Bar Journal (September 16th): A landmark event introducing the inaugural edition of Liberty Bar Journal.
- Plenary Session 1 (September 17th): “State of The Nation: Identifying the Challenges of the 2023 Election and the Role of Lawyers in Charting a New Path.”
- Plenary Session 2 (September 17th): “Tax for Economic Growth: Lawyer’s Obligations.”
- Plenary Session 3 (September 18th): “Law Business; Branding, Billing, and Collaboration for Growth.”
- Plenary Session 4 (September 19th – Virtual): “Right To Lay Complaint: A Tool to Elevate the Voice of the Patient in Nigerian Hospitals.”
- Plenary Session 1 (September 19th – Virtual): “Telecommunications Law in a Digital World: Opportunities for Lawyers.”
- Plenary Session 2 (September 19th – Virtual): “Fintech and Data Protection: Contemporary Issues and Prospects for Lawyers.”
The Law Week will also include health workshops and aerobics sessions under the slogan “Elevate the Voice of Patients,” emphasizing the importance of health and well-being in the legal profession.
