*Presents Awards of Honour To NBA President, Akpata; T.J.O. Okpoko SAN; Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Amongst Others

The Nigerian Bar Association, Effurun Branch on Sunday, 26th of June, 2022 hold her Annual General Meeting.

The Meeting which was graced by several dignitaries within and outside the legal profession, saw the opening of the Ultramodern Effurun Bar Centre. The Bar Centre was commissioned by the leader of the Branch, Chief E.L. Akpofure SAN together with the outgoing Branch Chairman, Dr. Jonathan Ekperusi.

Also, the meeting was spiced with the presentation of awards to deserving personalities who have positively contributed to the success of the branch.

Awardees include the NBA President, Olumide Akpata, HRM Dr. Emmanuel E. Sideso JP, OON, Abe 1, Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom; Chief TJO Okpoko SAN, past NBA President, Judges, among others.

The meeting was well-attended by lawyers from across the country including J. O. Aikpokpo-Martins, NBA 1st Vice President; YC Maikyau SAN, Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN, past NBA General Secretary; Ama Etuwewe SAN; Ogaga Emoghwanre, and others.

As part of activities for the meeting, the outgoing Chairman of the branch, Dr. Jonathan Ekperusi listed the achievements of his administration to include buying of Branch Bus, expansion/completion of the Bar Centre, acquisition of Co-operative lands, etc.

He thanked the attendees for making out time to grace the occasion while wishing them journey mercies to their various destinations.
