Abuja based Lawyer, Mr. A.A Samuel has again challenged Mr. Kunle Edun to produce the certificate co-opting him as a NEC member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

This is contained in a letter of a reply written to the Electoral Committee of the NBA dated 15th day of July, 2020, which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer.

According to him, his challenge is not to be misconstrued as an effort targeted at maligning the integrity of Mr. Kunle but a call to the ECNBA to investigate the issue of his qualification to contest thoroughly.

He noted that as Lawyers, it is imperative to always work with evidence, hence, the need for Mr. Kunle to produce a document evidencing the fact that he was co-opted as a NEC member.

Samuel further contended that exhibiting list with Kunle Edun’s name ticked is not enough because according to him, even “observers who attend NEC meetings write their names in the attendance list.”

However, In a telephone conversation with Kunle Edun, he said Samuel’s allegation does not hold water and that he is also not answerable to him

“I don’t owe him any duty to submit any document to him the people I am answerable to in this case is the ECNBA.

“I already have his details, I will petition him for him to prove how I falsified or giving misrepresenting facts to the ECNBAs.

A source from the NBA House, who does not want his identity revealed, informed THENIGERIALAWYER, that one of the top National Officers has taken up the matter and has contacted ECNBA.
