Benin branch of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), known as the Lion Bar has lifted the ban prohibiting lawyers from its jurisdiction from representing Armed robbery and kidnapping suspects and Defendants. 

The branch made this known Monday to TheNigerialawyer, in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Douglas Ogbankwa Esq.

TheNigeriaLawyer Recall that The Lion Bar Few months back made a resolution that they will no longer stand in to defend bandits in court.

The further noted that the reason for such decision was due to the incessant kidnapping and murdering of lawyers in the Jurisdiction.
