The Benin Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, aka the Lion Bar has announced the demise of the Former Chairman of the branch, Oriane Ose Akere Esq.

In a statement dated the 3rd day of February, 2020, signed by the Chairman Prince Collins Benson Ogiegbaen AICMC, and the Secretary, Pius Oiwoh Esq., and made available to TheNigerialawyer (TNL), the branch stated that the former Chairman will be missed for his humility, pacifist mien and crisis management skills.
The Statement reads:
“Oriane Ose Akere Esq: He came, he saw, he conquered. It was Jonne Donne, the English Poet that posited in his poem “Death be not Proud”, inter alia that:
“Death be not proud, for thou they call thee mighty and dreadful… For death shall be no more, death thou shall surely die.”
“It is with a heavy heart and with total submission to the will of God that the Nigerian Bar Association, Benin Branch, the Lion Bar, announces the death of a former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Branch, Benin Branch (2012 to 2014), Oriane Ose Akhere who died today the 3rd of February, 2020, out of complications from a domestic accident at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
The Lion Bar will miss Oriane Ose Akhere for his humility, pacifist mien and crisis management skills.”
