The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja Branch, Bulus Atsen, congratulates Hon. Justice Salihu Garba on His confirmation as the Honourable Chief Judge of the FCT by the Senate.

The Chairman noted that the CJ has assumed the mantle of leadership in the FCT Judiciary when the Nigerian judiciary is faced with numerous challenges. He therefore charged the CJ to be frontal, decisive and dispassionate in addressing these challenges as they manifest in the FCT.

He further stated that the administration of justice is fast losing its essence, public confidence in the judicial system is declining.

The steerers of the wheel of justice must redirect its trajectory within the shortest possible time.

The chairman commended the administrative reforms introduced in the FCT Judiciary since the assumption of office by the CJ in acting capacity.

He urged the CJ to do much more. He stated that the Branch is positive that the FCT judiciary will be repositioned within the tenure of His Lordship as the Chief Judge of the FCT.
