The National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) has officially declared its end-of-year and new year vacation for 2024.

The announcement was made by the Honourable President of the court, Justice B. B. Kanyip, PhD, OFR, FNIALS, FCTI, FCArb, bpa, pursuant to Order 58 Rule 4 (1)(c) of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2017.
The vacation period will commence on Thursday, 19th December 2024, and will last until Monday, 6th January, 2025. During this time, there will be no court sittings, and normal court proceedings will resume on Tuesday, 7th January, 2025.
Justice Kanyip, in exercising his powers under the aforementioned rules, emphasized that this decision was made in accordance with the court’s mandate to ensure the smooth administration of justice while also providing a break for the court’s staff and personnel.
Legal practitioners, litigants, and the general public are advised to take note of this vacation notice and plan their legal activities accordingly. Any urgent matters that may arise during the vacation period will be attended to by the court’s vacation judges, who will be assigned to handle such cases.
