The defendants, identified as James Anyawu (56) and Uki Okon (36), were arraigned on a four- count charge bordering on conspiracy and sexual assault. According to the charge proffered against the duo, they allegedly obtained the sum of N77,000 from one Alice Ije under the pretense to assist her for a lift to Oshodi. According to the prosecution, Uki Okon also forcefully had carnal knowledge of the complainant, Ejeh. The defendants carried out these criminal acts on the 1st of August, 2016 at 14:30hrs around Fagba, Iju, Ikeja Magisterial District. The defendants however, pleaded not guilty to all the charges levelled against them. Magistrate Komolafe granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties.
