The Medical Law Professionals Association of Nigeria (MELPAN), the foremost professional body which brings together legal and healthcare professionals in Nigeria towards promoting synergy and advocacy for international best practice, professional and public accountability, research, legal and institutional reforms in the health sector as well as the advancement of medical law, health law, legal medicine, medico-legal jurisprudence and ethics, announces her 2021 National Conference and Induction of members.

The theme of the Conference is “Strengthening Health Care Systems to Enhance Patient-Centered Care in Nigeria”. 

The event is scheduled as follows:

VENUE: Merit House, Maitama, Abuja

The Conference will be chaired by His Excellency, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, Esq. ACIArb (UK), former Governor of Bauchi State, while the Keynote Speaker will be Professor Oluwole Atoyebi, FMCS, FWACS, FICS, MBBS, Surgeon, Academic & Administrator, and Fmr. NMA President.

The Conference is aimed at setting a national agenda for improved Patient-Centered healthcare in Nigeria. The event will serve as a platform for robust national discussions on the prerogative and responsibilities of medical professionals and the rights of the patients in Nigeria. There will also be panel discussions to further dissect the theme of the conference, with experienced resource persons and facilitators leading the sessions.
 
The event will also feature the induction of a Chartered member, Fellows, Members and Associates of the body, as well as presentation of Awards.
