In a shocking incident in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, a 36-year-old man, Jaafar Adamu, is facing serious charges of alleged rape after reportedly wearing a mask to commit the crime against his neighbor’s wife.

The Adamawa State Police made the arrest on September 15, following the incident that occurred in Angwan Diocese Kala’a in Hong town. According to police spokesperson SP Suleiman Yahaya-Nguroje, the suspect wore a face mask while sexually assaulting the 23-year-old victim.
However, luck was not on the side of the alleged perpetrator, as his face mask accidentally slipped off during the assault, leading to his immediate identification by the victim. Although he managed to escape at that moment, he was later apprehended by law enforcement.
The Adamawa State Police Department is currently conducting an extensive investigation into the case, with plans to prosecute the suspect. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of justice and accountability in such matters.
