The Governor of Cross River state, Benedict Ayade has finally paid the state magistrates one month salary after Twenty-Eight (28) months of working without no salary.

A source who confirmed this to TheNigerialawyer, said despite the fact that the payment is only for one month, the magistrates were underpaid.
When asked the exact month the salary is for, he said he did not ask but the information he got was that they received one month’s salary.
TheNigerialawyer reports that on 4th January, about 30 Magistrates employed in 2019 by the Cross River State government protested over the non-payment of their two years salaries at the governor’s office in Calabar.
