The former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja Branch, Mr. Desmond Yamah, has called on young lawyers to look beyond litigation and embrace other areas of practice.

Yamah, in a statement made available to TheNigeriaLawyer, says it is the only way to safeguard production sector which is the major occupation of the businessmen in Aba.
“in spite the challenging environment in which they operate, they have fought a good fight and have kept the faith.
“The theme for this year’s Summit, BUILDING A SUCCESSFUL LEGAK CAREER AND EXPANDING LEGAL MINDS: PROSPECTS FOR YOUNG LAWYERS is apt.
“I encourage you all to look beyond litigation to other areas of practice; particularly, Intellectual Property, to safeguard the production sector that is the primary preoccupation of most businesses men in Aba.” Yamah said
He apologized for his absence at the summit of the Forum. According to him, his absence was due to situations beyond his control.
He said, “My sincere apologies for my inability to attend the summit due to factors beyond my control.
