Lawyers, including Senior Advocates of Nigeria, as well as labour unionists will on Thursday (today) converge on Sheba Centre, Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos to celebrate a renowned Labour Law expert, Chief Adetola-Kaseem (SAN), who passed away early this year. Adetola-Kaseem died January this year at the age of 69. To celebrate his contributions to Labour Law in the country, a lecture, with the theme, ‘The Development of the Nigerian Labour Jurisprudence: The Role of Chief Gani Adetola-Kaseem, SAN,” will hold today, according to a statement on Wednesday. The lecture will be delivered by Prof. Hakeem Olaniyan of the University of Lagos, with the President of the National Industrial Court, Justice Babatunde Adejumo, as the chairman on the occasion. “Other panelists at the tribute lecture are drawn from the Nigeria Labour Congress, National Industrial Court, Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Nigerian Bar Association, and the Joint Health Sector Unions; while the Special Guest of Honour is the President of Nigeria Labour Congress, Dr. Ayuba Wabba,” the statement added.]]>
