A reputable commercial law firm has announced a fresh recruitment exercise for experienced legal practitioners and other professionals to fill several vacancies in its Lagos and Abuja operations.

The available positions include Senior Counsel/Lawyers, Counsel, ICT Officer, Law Office Secretary, Estate Manager and Drivers, with applicants required to indicate whether they are applying for positions in Lagos or Abuja.

For the position of Senior Counsel/Lawyer, applicants must have been called to the Nigerian Bar and possess a minimum of Second Class Honours, Lower Division, from both the Nigerian Law School and their university.

Candidates are also required to have a minimum of 10 years’ experience practising in a law firm in Lagos or Abuja. The firm stated that lawyers with experience in commercial law practice and/or election petition matters would receive higher priority and may also attract higher remuneration.

Applicants for the position of Counsel must similarly possess at least a Second Class Honours, Lower Division, from both the Nigerian Law School and the university, in addition to having been called to the Bar.

They must also have a minimum of five years’ experience practising in a law firm in either Lagos or Abuja.

The firm is also seeking an ICT Officer who must be a graduate of Information and Communication Technology or Computer Science with at least a Second Class Honours, Lower Division.

The successful candidate is expected to have general experience in proactive monitoring of computer systems, maintenance and help-desk support, strategic IT planning and consulting, data management, backup and disaster recovery, as well as hardware and software management.

For the position of Law Office Secretary, applicants must possess a degree in Secretarial Studies or Office Management from a recognised Nigerian university, with a minimum of Second Class Honours, Lower Division.

Candidates are also required to have at least 10 years’ post-graduate experience in a similar role.

The firm is equally recruiting an Estate Manager. Applicants must be graduates of Estate Management from a Nigerian university, possess at least Second Class Honours, Lower Division, and have a minimum of 10 years’ post-graduate experience.

Vacancies are also available for Drivers in Lagos and Abuja. Applicants must have at least five years’ driving experience in the city for which they are applying and possess a valid driver’s licence.
