A young Nigerian lady has cried out on social media after she and other tenants were forcefully evicted from their rented apartment less than two weeks after paying their rent, following a property dispute between two brothers.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the visibly distressed lady narrated how they woke up to the traumatic experience of being thrown out of their home.

“Nigeria just happened to me. The injustice in this country is alarming. I woke up to this drama less than two weeks after paying my rent,” she lamented.

The lady explained that the house was sold by one of the brothers while the landlord they knew continued to collect rent from them, even though he was in court with his brother over the property.

“Apparently, the house was sold by one of the brothers, while the landlord we knew still collected rent from us even though he is in court with his brother over the property,” she said.

The lady alleged that the evictors took advantage of the fact that most of the tenants were students.

“Because most of us are students, they overpowered us. They broke down the doors and threw out everyone’s belongings,” she narrated.

The lady said she and the other tenants have been left homeless with no refund of their rent.

“Just like that, we are now homeless and they are refusing to refund our rent,” she cried.

The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many Nigerians calling for justice for the affected tenants and condemning the manner of the eviction.
