The Honourable President of the Court of Appeal (Hon. Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa) has relocated the constituted Governorship and Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal which was earlier scheduled to sit in Lokoja to FCT, Abuja.

The Notice of relocation is contained in a press release dated 27th day of November, 2019 addressed to the Chairman, Lokoja branch of the Nigeria Bar Association and sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL).
The press release reads in part:
“The mandate of the tribunal as stated in the first correspondence is to hear and determine petition(s) that may arise from the Kogi State Governorship election that was conducted on Saturday the 16th of November, 2019 and the forthcoming supplementary/Rerun Elections into Kogi West Senatorial Constituency and Ajaokuta Federal Constituency Scheduled on Saturday the 30th of November, 2019.”
“Therefore, the tribunal and its Secretariat/Registry is open to the public and is located at the FCT High Court, Wuse, Zone 2, Abuja.”
