Death is an inevitable end that will come when it will come. The demise of Hon. Justice Mustapha Akanbi CON PCA (RTD) come to us as a rude shock but we are consoled with the facts that Baba lived an exemplary live worthy of emulation. All souls must taste death, that is why we must live an exemplary life like Baba Akanbi, worship Almighty God our creator and serve humanity to the best of our ability. We know Hon. Justice Mustapha Akanbi(CON) PCA (RTD) for his good character and attributes.He was incorruptible as a Judicial Officer, fearless, dogged and will do justice according to Law and facts presented before him, notwithstanding whoever ox is gored. Our very revered Hon.Justice Akanbi was the first Chairman of ICPC the position he earned on account of his pedigree, integrity and incorruptible nature. Baba Akanbi until his death always contribute to National discourse where he often expressed his aversion for injustice, corruption and corrupt practices.He always emphasised an egalitarian society. He was an enigma and a quintessential Elderstateman. His contributions to the development of our Jurisprudence and Legal Profession at large cannot be quantified. Baba Akanbi was a community Leader and will do his best to help his people. He was a detrabilized Nigeria, he believes in Nigeria project. I cannot forget Baba Akanbi, he has shown love to me and he was pleased with our little contribution to humanity. He often describe me as a Young Human Right Activist of note. We will sorely miss our father.May Almighty Allah grant Baba Aljanah firdaus and grant his immediate family, the community and all of us the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Adieu!!
