*Enjoin Members Not To Lose Sight Of Issues Confronting The Legal Profession In The Region And Nigeria As A Whole

A Presidential aspirant of the Nigerian  Bar Association, Jonathan Gudu Taidi Esq has felicitated with the governing council and members of the Eastern Bar Forum on its quarterly general meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to hold from today, 3rd – 5th June, 2022 in Calabar, Cross River State.

Jonathan commended the leadership and members on the usefulness of the quarterly meeting.

He said,  “the quarterly meeting of this Forum serves the quite useful purpose of bringing together like minds united by geographical location within Nigeria to discuss issues of common interest for the advancement of its members.”

Mr. Jonathan Gunu Taidi Esq underscored the fact that there is a common challenge of insecurity confronting the region as well as Nigeria in general,  and as such discussion should be steered towards that direction.

In his words: “There is no doubt that a common challenge confronting the region today, as it is in other parts of Nigeria, is insecurity.

“Therefore,  discussions at this meeting ought to deliberately interrogate the remote causes of this menace with a view to proffering solutions, something which has so far eluded our leaders.”

He urged members not to lose focus of the numerous issues confronting the legal profession in Nigeria despite enjoying and basking in the hospitality of the tourist hub, Calabar.

“I enjoin members while enjoying the hospitality of the tourist hub not to lose sight of the other numerous issues confronting the legal profession within the region in particular and Nigeria in general.”

He concluded by wishing all attendees journey mercies.
