Joe-Kyari Gadzama SAN Congratulates Egbe Amofin On A Splendid Meeting

Leading Senior Advocate and arbitrator, Joe-Kyari Gadzama OFR, MFR, C.Arb. has congratulated the Egbe Amofin on the successful conclusion of its first meeting of the year.

According to him, it is typical of the meetings of the Egbe Amofin to be highly intellectual and stimulating as many of the country’s brightest legal minds are from the region.

The Egbe Amofin which is the regional forum for western lawyers has just elected new trustees. Gadzama SAN who is a trustee of the Arewa Lawyers forum believes that the new trustees have the capacity and tenacity to ensure that the forum ably performs its responsibilities. He also congratulated the caretaker chair, Prof. John Akintayo of the forum who he described as a visionary leader.

Particularly, Gadzama SAN stated that when the righteous are in power, the people rejoice and he is rejoicing with the emergence of Egbe Amofin’s new leadership. It should be highlighted that the caretaker chairman is also the President of the Christian lawyers fellowship of Nigeria (Clasfon).

He noted that the meeting was sensitive to national issues as it preached Unity amongst members of the forum and condemned the state of the nation, particularly the rising level is insecurity in the Northern part of Nigeria.

According to Gadzama SAN, it is imperative for bodies such as this to review its activities in the previous year and highlight what may be done to ensure the forum achieves its mandate. He said that he is pleased that the forum also laid a roadmap of how it would conduct its activities under its new leadership.
