The Chief Judge of Imo State, Justice Pascal Nnadi has commissioned a new high court complex in Atta community in Njaba Local Government Area.

The new complex, a story building was built and donated to the state government by the four communities that make up Atta Nwambiri through the Transaction Ambassadors of Atta Nwambiri (TAAN).

Justice Nnadi, while commissioning the court complex, used the opportunity to create a new judicial division in Njaba out of the existing Nkwerre Judicial Division.

The chief justice said that the need to have the court became necessary in view of the large number of cases at the Nkwerre High Court.

While describing the Atta High Court as outstanding and the best to be constructed in any community, Justice Nnadi commended the developmental spirit of TAAN, saying that “that’s what happens when you have men with vision at the helm of affairs of any community.

“Don’t relent in supporting the development of the larger Atta community. This is bringing further presence of government into your community and you will never regret your contributions.

“Don’t be surprised, one day a court of appeal will seat in this community. I want to fully associate myself with this development. It shows the community is heading towards greatness. So, as long as you remain united, you will keep progressing.”

The chief judge announced that following the official hand -over, the court would begin to use the facility immediately with the judge from Nkwerre High Court, Justice Eke taking charge in the interim pending the appointment of a new judge.

He assured that in no distant time, a full apparatus of the judiciary would be embedded in the new court.

Chairman of TAAN board of trustee, Chief John Agbasi and the Chairman of TAAN, Ambassador Sixtus Adizuo, on behalf of the community commended the chief judge for finding it worthy to establish a new judicial division in the town.
